The Berlin-based, American composer working across diverse contexts and formats is noted for his strain of lysergically-tipped electronic music followed by fans of eccentric, detailed, and hyper-warped minimalism. He operates somewhere between the theory-oriented partition of the art world, experimental club culture, creative sound-engineering, synthesis, and non-western music theory.

Epiphytic is the world premiere of a quadraphonic live improvisation in the style of his recent album of the same name on Kontra Musik. Based around endless pulsating waves of generative melodic patterns coaxed from a modular synthesizer, the music

searches for pockets of hypnotic bliss which uncoil into powerful full spectrum spirals. The progression traveses tuning subsets within 24 note per octave just intonation, lingering on arpeggiated structures of crystalline consonance with

inflections of microtonal dissonance. The effect is psychedelic and intense. The performance was developed during an artist residency at Inkonst in the autumn of 2021.
