Omar Itani & NOS
A new collaboration between Intonal and Beirut’s Irtjal Festival pairs artists from each event’s home city for a residency and performance. NOS is a Malmö-based music activist, dedicated to the raw energy of live performance. Rooted in techno, yet drawn to freeform and abstract sound, NOS crafts dance-driven sets with analogue synthesizers and rhythm machines. Elusive by nature, NOS has no internet presence – existing only in the moment, or perhaps in the imagination.
Omar Itani is a noise artist and sound designer from Beirut, moving between noise, punk, and electronic experimentation. His performances, shaped by processed drum machines and feedback loops, channel a restless, pulsing intensity. He has collaborated with artists such as Shakeeb Abu Hamdan and Elvin Brandhi, and released In Order of Appearance with Munma on VV-VA.
