ENJOY THE UNKNOVVVN is a three-day gathering exploring the intersections of art, technology and shared experience.
Through workshops, performances, conversations, juggling, installations and a pop-up shop, we invite you to discover new perspectives and reflect on alchemy, sorcery and digital and ecological systems that shape our world.
This is a space for experimentation and exchange. A space for listening, creating and connecting across disciplines and backgrounds.
ENJOY THE UNKNOVVVN is free and open to all.
No ticket or festival pass is needed to participate in the program. Drop by, stay a while, meet someone new. All activities take place at Claesgatan 14, Malmö.
SATURDAY APRIL 26 | 10:00–22:00
12:00–13:30 – Love Letters to a Toxic Lake
How do we embody artificial intelligence? A contemplation on artificial intelligence, treating it as a spectral entity. As a choreographer working with notions of embodiment and entanglement, elieli will investigate the elusive presence and whereabouts of technology and AI.
In this lunchtime session, choreographer elieli (Elisabeth Raymond) invites participants into a cross-disciplinary conversation and performance exploring AI as an invisible presence.
With Hjalmar Fors (historian of science (PhD, docent) and head of the Hagströmer Library, Karolinska Institutet), Marja-Leena Sillanpää (artist, author and composer) and Erik Natanael (musician/media artist).
13:30–14:00 – Quartz Calling
A meditative sound improvisation by Erik Natanael, revealing the hidden virtual soundscape frequencies and resonances of the room itself.
14:00–17:00 – Exhibition Opening: Sara Ekholm Eriksson
Sara Ekholm Eriksson is a Swedish artist working with sculpture and installation. She holds a Master’s degree from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm.
This body of work brings together stone and glass in quiet sculptural structures—part imprint, part echo. They mark a slow transformation, or a moment held in suspension. These forms speak of deep time and the mineral afterlives of life: traces of extinct species, industrial residue, and synthetic alchemy. Human presence is not at the center, but part of a layered landscape—where memory is carried by more-than-human materials.
Live performance by circus artist Jay Gilligan, and Glass Operator, weaving sound into space.
16:00 – Fabulous Speculation: Anna Näsström
A vvv-i-p performance that moves in between skin and flesh, somewhere between the private and the performative. You are invited into a choreographic speculation and celebration, amongst fantasies and fascinations.
Anna Näsström is a choreographer and dance artist based in Malmö working at the intersection of dance, technology and ethnography. Her practice is warmly hugged by club culture, transdisciplinarity and worldbuilding.
16:30 – Live act: Gaztween (PT)
Another chance to experience Gaztween’s live sound research—part electronic concert, part improvised soundscape.
FRIDAY APRIL 25 | 10:00–22:00
13:00–15:00 – Mineral Drama
Mineral Drama is the result of a weeklong lab where we use smartphones to investigate smartphones — excavating materials, tracing components back to the earth, and mapping geopolitical forces behind mineral extraction. Join us as we assemble a live montage of the conflicts shaping our digital world. Witness the deal-making in action. This drop-in lab is led by Emma Bexell with Cenk Güzelis, Alva Qi and Gorki Glaser-Müller.
Visitors are invited to observe or take part.
17:00–20:00 – We Are the Bambinos!
Podcast host Karin Pettersson from Café Bambino and sdvvvorks present the Malmö launch of their speculative project $BAMBINO – a playful take on internet culture, digital economies, and collective imagination.
Expect talks, performance, music, limited-edition merchandise from the pop-up shop.
Live performance by circus artist Jay Gilligan, and Glass Operator, weaving sound into space.
19:00 – Live act: Gaztween (PT)
Portuguese duo Gaztween merges analog and digital sounds in a format that bridges music, improvisation, and expanded listening. Gaztween is celebrated for their dynamic fusion of genres, ranging from dub to house and beyond. With a distinctive sound that blends diverse influences, they craft immersive, danceable atmospheres designed to captivate the senses and keep audiences engaged from start to finish.
Both members of the duo explore a wide array of analog and digital synthesizers, creating a unique and evolving soundscape each time they perform. This exploration of both vintage and cutting-edge technology allows them to push the boundaries of their sound, adding a layer of spontaneity and creativity that makes every show an unpredictable, one-of-a-kind event. Their performances are not just concerts but immersive sonic journeys, where no two sets are ever exactly the same.
