An Öresund extravaganza featuring the results of a new collaboration of Copenhagen-based artists following a SHAPE+ supported Inkonst residency promises a sweaty mash of rock music, dance, and visuals. Statoil – the only representatives of the genre 'static-oil-core' promise to deliver their own genre of heavy, repetitive riffs and shrieking noise. They are the manifestation of the middle finger to hyper-capitalism, cynical raw material extraction, and the lack of compassion for the common human.
Swedish choreographer, performer, and educator Sanna Blennow is always curious to challenge formats and crossbreed artistic processes. Her practice investigates time, memory and the in-between, positioning her practice in the grey zone between the black box and the white cube, set choreography and improvisation, a sanctuary and a rupture. In these liminal spaces, the body enters an undefined zone, where anything can happen for a set time, where the monsters come out, and intuition guides.
The photographer and multi-disciplinary artist Tobias Toyberg-Frandzen has been creating digital art since 2001 to delirious effects. His video work for Vanligt Folk, Statoil, and Pig Wrestler showcase a garish wit and outrageous style.
