The Palestinian electronic musician fuses glitch, abstract tones, and harsh beats into evocative sonic landscapes. Using sampled material, field recordings, and electronic devices, he crafts music rooted in resistance and experimentation, reflecting the complexities of his environment, and pushing the boundaries of electronic music from Ramallah to the world.

The co-founder of the Ramallah Underground Collective [2002-2009] he is also part of the sound and image performance group Tashweesh, alongside artists Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme. His most recent, acclaimed solo album Kamil Manqus (2021) was released on the cult Italian label Hundebiss Records, the same year he appeared as collaborator on his friend Hiro Kone’s Silvercoat the Throng album. Muqata’a also composes film scores and has worked on several compositions for dance-theater performances.
