The Copenhagen-based, German visual artist explores the choreographic potential of objects through temporal, performative sculptures and installations. She investigates moments of permeability between bodies, using intake and absorption as metaphors for relational and systemic dynamics. Her work has been exhibited at Heartland Festival and Noma in Copenhagen. von Lüpke has also shown work at spaces such as Salhus Textile museum, Kode4 in Bergen, Kunstnerens hus in Oslo, and galeria Pada in Lisbon. She is currently preparing for her first institutional solo exhibition for Østfyns Museer in Denmark.
For Intonal, von Lüpke presents Take, this is my body, an installation made from bread, baked in molds cast from the faces of those closest to her. The project explores human intimacy and the ways we nourish, sustain, or feed off one another, shaping the communities we form. Through the use of bread, both as material and symbol, the work touches on themes of communion, care and consumption. Eating becomes a site of exchange, blurring the boundaries between self and other.
