A FOREST AND FORAGING SOUNDWALK with TCF

TORUP’S BEECH FOREST

MEETING POINT INKONST

SAT 27 apr 12.30

A special forest walk combined with a foraging and a listening session, led by the Norwegian musician and artist TCF, aka Lars Holdhus. In addition to his artistic practice, which now centers around climate conservation and activision, Holdhus also works at Matskogen på Landås, a food forest close to Bergen. Recently he's been focusing on what a local diet looks like on a budget. With a focus on foraging to supplement your weekly cooking, we will take a walk close to Malmö and look at which plants are easy to use, and how to use, store, and preserve them. Foraging can be seen as a way to eat more locally but also as a way to know your food, socialize, minimize waste, and lower your food budget. The walk will also include a listening session with a site-specific sound piece.

PLEASE NOTE: The location for this event is the scenic nature reserve of Torup beech forest. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing for the weather and outdoor walking, and bring water and snacks, if needed.

You will need to travel by public transportation (regional bus) to the site of the walk, and must pay the travel cost (48 SEK or about 4.25 Euros) each way. The regional bus does NOT accept payment on board. The easiest way to buy a ticket is by downloading the Skånetrafiken app in advance. There is a discount for buying for multiple people traveling together at one time.

Meet at Inkonst at 12:30 to take bus 148 departing from Malmö Spångatan (2 blocks from Inkonst) at 12:58. It arrives at Torup about half an hour later – the reserve is a short walk from there. There is only one bus every hour, so you must be on time for this.

Planned return bus departs Torup at 16:33.

LIMITED CAPACITY. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
