NZE NZE
The SHAPE+ supported French trio – consisting of Matthieu Ruben N'Dongo from Sacred Lodge and Tioma Tchoulanov and Gaëtan Bizien from UVB76 – create their unconventional sound by combining industrial, post-punk, and dub music with the songs and stories of the warriors of the Fang people in Central Africa. In fact, their Afro-futurist sound features vocals in the Fang language. NZE NZE explore themes such as the consequences of colonialism, resource extraction, cyberpunk, metal as a material, and more in their debut album Adzi Akal, released on Teenage Menopause Records in 2022.
