The musical project of Stockholm’s Em Silén, rip ME’s artistic ideals are the result of her larger objective of channelling an endless generosity.
In a restless and experimental outcome, rip ME’s sound is carried by the love of combination, often via song, instruments, and vocals. With album Libido released in last year on Varg²™’s Cease 2 Exist label, rip ME moves effortlessly between styles, genres, and modes of expression, defying any final definition, resulting in a soundscape that is both unmistakably strange yet familiar; all-consuming and intensifying. In the midst of disparate circumstances, rip ME remains nothing but her own.
